This class starts at 6 p.m. every Monday and meets in the library in the non-fiction section. This is for experienced knitters and for beginners. If you're a beginner, don't worry about bringing anything, we'll supply you with needles and yarn.

On Tuesday, August 7th the Children's Library will host an afternoon of nail painting. The drop-in event will take place from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. This event is for children of all ages.

Join us on Tuesday, August 7th for our summer movie series! To go along with our book club "Books Became the Movies", we're showing the movies based off four different books.  We will be showing the movie based on the book "Water for Elephants" by Sara Gruen.  Join us for the FREE movie!  We'll also be providing free drinks and popcorn.

The Children's Library will show a children's movie on Wednesday, August 8th at 10:00 a.m.  The movie we will show was released in 2012 and is based on a book by Dr. Seuss.  The movie stars the voices of Zac Efron and Taylor Swift.  This film is rated PG.  For more information on this movie contact the Children's Library at 870-935-5133 extension 1120.

Linda Nance is a local author who has worked to get her books published.  You can find some of her works in print - while others can be found in the form of an eBook.  During this Lunch and Learn class, Nance will go over the process of how to publish an eBook.  Lunch and Learn is a free program offered every Wednesday at noon at the library.  Participants aren encouraged to bring in their lunch and prepare to learn!

Children and their families are invited to a drop-in event at the library.  Board games for all ages will be on hand including Checkers, Hungry Hungry Hippo, Chairs, Battleship and others.  This drop-in event will take place from 10:00 a.m. until Noon in the Children's Library.

At 3:00 p.m. in the Round Room, tweens who have finished 4th, 5th and 6th grades will get to get new temporary "hairdos".  For more information on this event, contact the Children's Library at 870-935-5133 extension 1120.

Slashed t-shirts, tied t-shirts, painted t-shirts... "altered" t-shirts!  Teens (age 13 to 17-years-old) will be making their own t-shirt creations on Friday, August 10th.
