It's craft time in the Children's Library! Kids can pick up a set of needles and a ball of yarn starting on September 5th and learn how to knit! Ms. Vivi Chase will start off teaching some of the basics of knitting to those who have never knitted and will work with the kids to complete projects. The classes are held every Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the Children's Library.

Lapsit Storytime is for babies from newborn to 24-months-old and their parents or caregivers. This storytime focuses on fun with books, fingerplays, songs and action followed by free-play and networking.

We're celebrating Star Wars Reads Day on October 6th! Join us in the morning for events for the kids and in the afternoon for events for teens and adults.  From 10 a.m. until noon we'll have Star Wars craft stations, trivia, refreshments including wookie cookies and yoda soda and entertainment.  Drawing for Star Wars prizes will happen at noon.  A Star Wars program for teens and adults will start at 1 p.m. and will include a costume contest, trivia, games and a movie!  We're watching "A New Hope", also known as "Star Wars Episode IV", starting at 2:30 p.m.
