The Kohn Memorial Public Library is hosting a peanut butter and jelly drive in November and December.  All you have to do is bring in a jar of peanut butter or jelly and for each jar you bring your name is added to a drawing that will take place on December 12th.  The winner of the drawing will win a $20 gift certificate to the Farmer's Market in Monette.  The donated peanut butter and jelly will go to "BIBLE" the Buffalo Island Better Life Experience.

An annual pre-holiday book sale will take place December 6th-9th.  Books at this sale will be half price!  This is a great time for you to get some Christmas shopping finished!  There will even be some new release books included in this sale for 25% off.  The sale will be held Thursday, December 6th and Friday, December 7th from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, December 8th from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.; and Sunday, December 9th from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Lapsit Storytime is for babies from newborn to 24-months-old and their parents or caregivers. This storytime focuses on fun with books, fingerplays, songs and action followed by free-play and networking.

This class is open for experienced and beginning knitters and those who would like to crochet. This class meets in the library in the non-fiction section. If you're a beginner, don't worry about bringing anything, we'll supply you with needles and yarn.

This is a latin inspired dance exercise class. Instructor Brooke Poff leads the class in routines that are easy to learn. This class is free and is held in the library Round Room on Monday and Tuesday nights. This class is open to all skill levels.

This class starts at 6 p.m. every Monday and meets in the library in the non-fiction section. This is for experienced knitters and for beginners. If you're a beginner, don't worry about bringing anything, we'll supply you with needles and yarn.

PeeWee Storytime is designed for 2-year-old and 3-year-olds and their parents or caregivers.

Pre-school storytime is for 4-year-olds and 5-year-olds. For this storytime adults are not required to stay, but are always welcome.

Our teens are welcome to join us after hours on Friday, December 21st for Random Fandom!  We're going to watch a movie in the Round Room starting at 6:00 p.m.  You'll know this one! It came out this summer and stars Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Tom Hiddleston.  Your favorite Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and the evil/misunderstood Loki will be on hand.

The annual Friends of the Library Holiday Open House will be held on Wednesday, December 12th.  This event is held in the Round Room throughout the day.  It's a great time to mee the friends, meet other library patrons, and enjoy holiday snacks.

 Santa Claus is coming to town! Join the library staff on Wednesday, December 12th for Storytime with Santa at 10 a.m. in the Children's Library!
