The library offers free Zumba Fitness Classes every Monday and Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Round Room. This hour long class is for adults only. Zumba is a latin inspired dance exercise class. Instructor Brooke Poff leads the class in routines that are easy to learn.

This class starts at 6 p.m. every Monday and meets in the library in the non-fiction section. This is for experienced knitters and for beginners. If you're a beginner, don't worry about bringing anything, we'll supply you with needles and yarn to get started with.

Family storytime will be held on Monday nights starting at 7 p.m. in the Children's Library. This storytime is for families with children of different ages and for working families.

The Novel Lover's Book Discussion Group will meet on Tuesday, February 26th at 10:00 a.m.  The group will meet to discuss the book The Shoemaker's Wife by Adriana Trigiani.

PeeWee Storytime is for 2-year-olds and 3-year-olds and their parents or caregivers. This storytime is held every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Children's Library.

Children's author Kate Klise will visit the library on Tuesday, February 26th at 7:00 p.m.  During her stay, Klise will visit several local schools to meet with children and their teachers.

Teens will gather in the Civic League Room on Tuesday, February 26th at 4:00 p.m. for anime/manga.  This month teens will make anime cookies!

The Inquiring Minds Book Discussion Group will discuss the book Lincoln by Gore Vidal during  the month of February.  This discussion takes place in the Civic League Room on Tuesday, February 26th at the library.

This latin inspired dance exercise class is offered every Tuesday free of charge at the Poinsett County Library from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The instructor is Nechia Whitingham. The class is for people of all skill levels.

Children's author Kate Klise will be at the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library on Tuesday, February 26th at 7:00 p.m.  Klise is the author of numerous children's books.  She, along with her sister who illustrates the books, travels around the country when she's not writing speaking to library and school groups about her process.  This event is open to children and adults.

This class is for those who are interested in learning the basics of how e-mail works.  This class is designed for beginners.  During the class, participants will get a free Gmail account set up for them.  This class will be held on Wednesday, February 27th at 10:00 a.m. in the training lab.

It's craft time in the Children's Library! Kids can pick up a set of needles and a ball of yarn starting on September 5th and learn how to knit! Ms. Vivi Chase will start off teaching some of the basics of knitting to those who have never knitted and will work with the kids to complete projects. The classes are held every Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the Children's Library.

The birthday of beloved children's author Dr. Seuss is March 2nd, but his birthday will be celebrated by the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library on March 1st!  Join us at 10:45 a.m. for this event.  We will have special visitors straight out of the books!
