Your source for reliable information including magazine and journal articles, books, newspapers, etc.

Most databases are available to our patrons outside the library. Library card barcode numbers are needed to access the databases. If you are having problems please call the Information Services Department at 935-5133 ext. 11 or 21.

Note:
If you are unable to access a database you may need to disable any firewall software you have or change your firewall setup to allow port 81 to pass through.




AccessScience
Online version of Encyclopedia of Science and Technology. Provided by memorials for David Chittenden.

American History
Covers American history from 1350 to the present with primary and secondary sources, biographies, e-books and teacher resources.
America's Newspapers
Includes over 850 newspapers from around the country plus magazines.
Ancestry Library
Genealogy database - Can only be used inside the Jonesboro Library building.
Antiques Reference
Research site for information on antiques taken from auction houses - has many photographs and is updated constantly - need library a card to access.
Auto Repair Reference Center (ARRC)
Auto repair information that you can search by make and year of vehicle - includes diagrams.
Biographies Plus Illustrated
Includes Current Biography, Junior Authors & Illustrators, world authors, composers, songwriters, musicians, film directors, plus more than 65,000 profiles. Also, contains links to full text articles, book reviews plus more.
Britannica Online
Include separate sources including Encyclopedia Britannica, World Data Analyst and Webster's Third International Dictionary Unabridged.

Electronic version of the New Book of Knowledge.
HeritageQuest
Genealogy database allowing searches of census records, family and local histories plus genealogy and local history articles and Revolutionary War records.

History Reference
Full text of over 750 historical encyclopedias and other non-fiction books, nearly 60 history periodicals, along with 58,000 historical documents, 43,000 biographies, 12,000 historical photos and maps and 87 hours of historical film and video.

Kids Search (up to 5th grade)- Ebsco
Interactive site for students up to 5th grade. Provides easy searching through several of the Ebsco databases including the Encyclopedia of Animals, a general encyclopedia, a dictionary and pictures, including maps, flags, places and people plus many magazine articles.
Learning Express Library
Provides online practice tests and tutorials for academic and licensing tests. Includes ACT, ASVAB, EMT, ESL, GED, GRE, LSAT, citizenship plus more. Sign up for your own account using your library card number as your user name.
LitFinder
Search for poetry, short stories, speeches, essays and plays by genre or subject. Includes information on authors. Special section for children.

Provides access to many forms and checklists needed to organize personal and business matters and to establish contact with government agencies. Organized by Government, Business, Personal and Tax Forms.
Reader's Advisor Online
Match your reading tastes with books both fiction and non-fiction based on your favorite authors or genres.
Sanborn Maps for Arkansas
Large scale plans of cities or towns in Arkansas, drawn to assist fire insurance companies. The maps, drawn to a scale of 50' to 1", list street blocks and building numbers used at the time the map was made. Search by city and year.
Searchasaurus - Ebsco
Graphical, colorful, animated interface to Ebsco for elementary or middle school students. Search for magazine and newspaper articles by reading level.
State Geography
Provides students and teachers with resources on individual states and the country as a whole. Information on people, events and places plus e-books on the topics.
Student Research Center (5th grade and up)- Ebsco

World History - The Modern Era
