Updated Hours

Covid-19 has led to a lot of changes for all of us! Starting Monday, October 12th, the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library will add more hours each day to make it more convenient for those who wish to visit the library while still maintaining safety regulations.

The library will offer quick browsing of the adult collection Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. A limited number of people will be allowed to visit the library to maintain social distancing guidelines. The aisles for books and DVDs will be limited to one person per aisle. The library will continue to offer other services such as using a computer, printer, or fax machine for essential business by appointment only. The Children’s library is also by appointment only. However, if you are at the library and are interested in using a computer or visiting the children’s library you may check to see if there is an open spot. There are a limited number of study rooms available for group, up to three by reservation. Everyone in the room must wear their masks the entire time.

Everyone who visits the library must wear a mask over their mouth and nose, have their temperature taken and have the option of using hand sanitizer provided at the door. The Cherry Street entrance will be the only open entrance to the library at this time. The staff is working to ensure that everyone who visits the library as well as staff are safe during this worldwide health crisis. Frequent cleaning is taking place, hand sanitizer is readily available and masks are worn at all times by visitors and staff. High risk individuals are welcome to visit the library between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. weekdays for a safe browsing experience.
