Get ready to explore a Universe of Stories this summer at the library! This summer our theme is all about space and the universe and so are the programs your child can attend! Each Tuesday and Thursday the Children's Library will host Extraterrestrial Tuesdays and Far Out Thursdays. These events are for school-age children (those who have completed kindergarten through 3rd grade) and will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Round Room. At Extraterrestrial Tuesdays, kids can attend a yoga class, acting classes to learn how to act like astronauts and aliens, a Taekwondo class and more! During Far Out Thursdays, kids will get to learn about the phases of the moon by eating oreos - biting out a half moon in the process! They'll also get to use some sun beads that turn purple in the sun and build a UFO out of fruit!
These programs not only are fun for kids - but they will be teaching them new things in a fun way.
