Timeline Project

Welcome to the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library Digitization Project.  This is a community project, designed to digitally preserve photographs from Craighead County and Jonesboro from the late 1800’s onward.  Currently we have pictures from the late 1800’s to the 1950’s.  We are looking for old family photos, historical pictures of businesses or family homes that were or are currently standing in the city or county, or any other photos that were taken that depict the history of Jonesboro and Craighead County.

This is how it works: Bring your photos in and we will partner you with a volunteer who will scan your photos and take down any information you have about the photographs.  That information and the photograph will be added to the collection at the library and will be available for online access.  The goal of this project is to create a digital history of Jonesboro and Craighead County and provide a resource for people to learn more about the area.

We are taking donations for a new, specialized archive-quality scanner for the Timeline Project. Talk to a staff member today to volunteer or donate.
