The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library is seeking a Mobile Branch Manager.

The Mobile Branch Manager plays a key role in making library services accessible to all residents of Craighead County.

Responsibilities include overseeing all operations of the bookmobile, including but not limited to: offering programs to patrons of all ages, promoting the library in the community, assisting groups and individuals with various information needs, and driving (as needed) and maintaining the bookmobile. This position also includes filling in for library branch managers as needed. This position is full-time with somewhat flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Applicants should have some college education and/or three years of customer service experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Library or supervisory experience is preferred. This position requires a valid driver's license.

This is a full-time position with compensation starting at $40,000 per year. Benefits include a generous paid time off plan, paid health and dental insurance, and APERS Retirement. PTO and insurance benefits amount to approximately $10,000 in value per year.

The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library is seeking a Part-Time Bookmobile Driver.

The Bookmobile Driver plays a key role in making library services accessible to all residents in Craighead County.

Responsibilities include serving as a driver for the Bookmobile, assisting the Mobile Branch Manager with event setup and takedown, and maintaining the Bookmobile’s cleanliness and fuel tank as needed. The Bookmobile Driver will assist the Mobile Branch Manager with maintenance and upkeep of the Bookmobile. The Bookmobile Driver must be able to work a flexible schedule, which includes some weekends and evenings.

Applicants should have some previous experience working with the public. This position requires a valid driver’s license – a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred but not required. Applicants should have some college education or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Library experience is preferred.

This is a part-time position with compensation starting at $18.00 per hour.
