Introducing Myself
It has only been a few days since I have stepped into the new position as the Marketing & PR Manager. My love for our library runs deep. However, my love for the library did not start the day I started this position. Like many others, I grew up in the library. For as long as I have known, the library has been a safe space for me to step into all sorts of worlds and truly know the depths of my imagination. As I got older, my time at the library lessened and the amounts of books I picked up decreased.
Fast forward some years to 2023, I stepped into the Jonesboro Library for the first time. A wave of nostalgia hit me, and I immediately felt at home. One visit to our library, and I found myself reading, returning, and repeating. The feelings I had as a child quickly became a new reality for me as an adult.
Little did I know, in 2023, that the Jonesboro Library would mean so much more to me than it already did. Now, serving as the Marketing & PR Manager, I am driven by passion that runs deep for my community and understanding of the importance of having a sense of belonging and purpose. My position offers me the opportunity to help those in our community enhance their voice and explore the imagination they have carried since their childhood. Whether you are a child, teen, or adult, I am here to help you feel that sense of belonging the library has to offer.
