Thanks to the Friends of the Library, Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library is now offering a new free storybook service to our patrons, LOTE4Kids!  Children have access to over 8,000 picture books in over 100 world languages, including American Sign Language. LOTE4Kids is an excellent resource for kids who are learning a new language, looking for books in their native language, learning to read, or who just love having books read to them!  Children can choose books in English, over 100 world languages, or the bilingual option to begin their learning journey. Each option includes the story being read to the children and the words also appear on the screen in the language which is being read. Children can adjust the speed at which the story is read to them to help them learn a new language.

LOTE4Kids also offers digital and printable activities such as coloring pages, word searches, and memory and pattern games.  Flash cards are also available to aid in your child’s learning. There’s even an owl avatar that children can dress by unlocking clothing and accessories! There are new languages and books uploaded regularly.

LOTE4Kids can be accessed through the link on the Children’s page on our website libraryinjonesboro.org, going directly to www.lote4kids.com, or downloading the LOTE4Kids app from the App Store or Google Play.  You can find our library and log in with your library card to get started. This is a free service for our community that was generously donated by our Friends of the Library. If you have any questions about getting started, give us a call at (870)935-5133.
