You all...I am so excited to announce this!

The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library is hosting a 2026 Speaker Series, providing a new opportunity for our community to come together for meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and new perspectives.

This three-part series will take place throughout the fall and will highlight topics that connect us to our past, encourage the leaders of today and tomorrow, and explore the future of Northeast Arkansas. Each event will offer a chance to hear from engaging speakers, learn something new, and connect with others in our community.

At the library, we believe conversations have the power to bring people together. Libraries are more than places to find information. They are spaces where people can gather, exchange ideas, and learn from one another. This Speaker Series was created to provide those opportunities and highlight the stories, leadership, and vision that make our community so special!

The 2026 Speaker Series includes:

Where Stories Live: Stories, Memory, & Belonging in Craighead County
Saturday, September 5 | Ages 13 and up

Every community is shaped by the stories of the people who live there. This conversation will explore the memories, experiences, and connections that make Craighead County unique and how our shared stories help define our sense of belonging.

Bold Enough to Begin: Youth Leadership, Confidence, and Community Impact
Thursday, October 1 | Ages 15 and up

Young people have the ability to create meaningful change in their communities. This event will focus on leadership, confidence, and the importance of taking the first steps toward making an impact.

Looking Ahead with Vision: Leadership, Innovation, and the Future of Northeast Arkansas
Thursday, November 5 | All ages

The future of Northeast Arkansas is built by the ideas, dedication, and leadership of the people who call this region home. This conversation will explore innovation, community growth, and the opportunities ahead.

I know our community values opportunities to connect, learn, and hear from people who are passionate about the stories and future of Craighead County. I want you to walk away from these speaking programs with a special sense of pride for your community. We have a lot to be proud of.

The 2026 Speaker Series is made possible through the support of Friends of the CCJPL, St. Bernards Healthcare and Medical Group, Farmers & Merchants Bank, NEA Baptist, Arkansas State University Division of Access and Institutional Engagement, and Best Manufacturing.

This series is free and open to the public. Additional details, including featured speakers, event times, and registration information, will be announced on the library’s website and social media channels as each event approaches.

I look forward to welcoming our community this fall for conversations that celebrate our stories, inspire our leaders, and explore the future of Northeast Arkansas. A little hint...it's big stuff.
